We teach using the classical
method, the Greek format of the trivium or three paths. The first
is grammar. Students learn basic language skills and memorize concepts
in science and math. The second method is the dialectic path. In this
phase, children are encouraged to think about the ideas they have
learned. The third level is rhetoric, also known as the poetic phase
and artistic form. In this phase the students are encouraged to express
the ideas they have learned. In addition to our strong academic program,
children take monthly field trips, complete community service projects,
studies foreign languages, art, music, tennis, golf, dance, acting
and gymnastics.
At the Academy we strive for students to reach their optimal level
of learning. Our philosophy is “no pain no gain.” We
provide a positive environment that will develop the children’s
self-esteem. We want the children to realize that there are valleys
and mountains in their lives, but there is nothing they cannot accomplish
as long as God is on their side and are armored with the proper
tools.
